Tencent Raises US$1.8 Billion and CNY26 Billion in Long-Dated Note Offering

Tencent Holdings ( (HK:0700) ) has issued an update.

Tencent Holdings has completed a major multi-currency debt offering under its global medium term note programme, issuing US$1.8 billion and CNY26 billion of senior notes across tenors extending to 2036, 2046 and 2056. The package includes CNY20.0 billion 2.40% notes due 2036, US$1.30 billion 6.10% notes due 2036, US$0.50 billion 6.75% notes due 2046 and CNY6.0 billion 3.00% notes due 2056, reinforcing Tencent’s long-term funding base.

The transaction underscores Tencent’s continued access to international capital markets and its strategy of locking in long-dated funding in both renminbi and U.S. dollars to support future operational and investment needs. By broadening its debt maturity profile and diversifying currency exposure, the company strengthens its financial flexibility, which may reassure investors and creditors amid evolving market conditions.
