LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

IonQ stock rose following strong Q2 results, a raised full-year revenue outlook, and a $28 million DARPA contract extension for optical atomic clocks. Q2 revenue beat estimates at $80.05 million, up 287% year-over-year. The company also highlighted growth in its national security business through Capella.

IonQ, Inc. (NYSE:IONQ) stock rose on Thursday following strong second-quarter results and a raised full-year outlook.

The company also secured a $28 million DARPA contract extension to expand production of Evergreen-05 optical atomic clocks.

DARPA Contract Expands Government Business

Under DARPA’s It’s About Time program, IonQ will deliver 125 clocks to U.S. government customers. The clocks will support radar, secure communications and precision geolocation applications.

IonQ plans to invest $15 million in production facilities, manufacturing equipment and testing capabilities.

The contract adds to IonQ’s growing national security business.

Capella, an IonQ company, recently received an award under the National Reconnaissance Office’s Radar Commercial Augmentation program.

It will provide synthetic aperture radar imagery and data services for U.S. government missions.

Second-Quarter Revenue Beats Estimates

IonQ reported second-quarter revenue of $80.05 million, up 287% year over year and above estimates of $49.74 million. Its adjusted loss of 33 cents per share also beat expectations for a 35-cent loss.

IonQ raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $280 million-$290 million from $260 million-$270 million.

The company cited Tempo deployments, higher cloud usage and broader demand.

IonQ ended the quarter with about $3 billion in cash and investments, which fell to roughly $2 billion after the SkyWater acquisition.

IONQ Technical Analysis: Key Support, Resistance And Momentum

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) currently sits at 48.00, indicating a neutral momentum phase for the stock. This suggests that IonQ may be in a consolidation phase, with neither buyers nor sellers gaining a decisive advantage at this moment.
