Taiwan’s current administration proposed a supplementary budget that would inject NT$400 billion (US$12.6B) into 2 state-owned firms, CPC and Taipower, to subsidize an electricity rate freeze enacted to combat price instability caused by US-Iran tensions. The package still requires review and passage by the legislature.
