Today, reporters learned at the National Certification and Accreditation Inspection and Testing Work Conference held in Beijing that by the end of 2024, there will be a total of 1,230 certification institutions nationwide, a decrease of 12 from 2023, marking the first inflection point in growth. A total of over 4.158 million valid certification certificates have been issued, an increase of 10.6% compared to 2023. There are over 53,000 inspection and testing institutions that have obtained qualification recognition, with over 600 million inspection and testing reports, and the revenue of the inspection and testing service industry reached 467 billion yuan, an increase of 9% compared to the previous year. The number of recognized conformity assessment bodies has reached 20,251, an increase of 13.3% compared to 2023. Statistical data shows that the overall number of operating institutions remains stable, while the growth in business performance significantly exceeds the growth in the number of institutions, reflecting a clear trend of the industry's development shifting from quantity to quality and efficiency, with an overall improvement in development quality. A relevant person in charge of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration stated that in 2024, 12 types of products with high safety risks, including lithium batteries and chargers for electric bicycles, will be included in mandatory product certification, commonly known as CCC certification. The CCC product catalog will expand to 17 categories and 106 types of products. The average pass rate for national supervision and random inspection of CCC-certified products from 2022 to 2024 is 93.9%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points compared to the average pass rate from 2020 to 2024. The organization conducted 240 million online verifications of CCC-certified products, a year-on-year increase of 135%, intercepting information on 13.15 million unlicensed products, effectively playing the role of mandatory certification in "ensuring safety bottom line." At the same time, the mandatory product certification system for electric bicycles will be improved, with over 10,000 CCC certification certificates for electric bicycles that do not meet mandatory national standards being suspended or revoked
