
Midday Review: The ChiNext Index fell over 2% in half a day, with more than 4,800 stocks declining in both markets
The index fluctuated lower in the morning session, with the ChiNext Index down more than 2% at midday. In terms of sectors, the tourism and hotel sector performed strongly against the trend, with Jinling Hotel hitting the daily limit; gold concept stocks were active, with Chifeng Gold leading the gains; bank stocks fluctuated higher, with Bank of Shanghai leading the rise; agricultural stocks collectively adjusted, with the planting sector leading the decline, and Shennong Seed Industry experiencing significant losses; the controllable nuclear fusion concept continued to pull back, with HeDuan Intelligent leading the decline; Apple concept stocks collectively fell, with Dongshan Precision and Industrial Fulian among the biggest losers. Overall, individual stocks showed a widespread decline, with more than 4,800 stocks falling. As of the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index was at 3,237.60 points, down 0.92%; the Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,664.79 points, down 1.96%; and the ChiNext Index was at 1,882.67 points, down 2.47%. On the market, the tourism and hotel, precious metals, and airport and shipping sectors saw the largest gains, while the planting and forestry, automotive services, and other power equipment sectors experienced the largest declines
