Counter-cyclical growth! Silan and BYD's market share in power semiconductors has significantly increased

On May 8, 2025, Infineon announced its financial report for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025. The data shows that the global power semiconductor market size shrank to USD 32.3 billion in 2024, while Silan grew against the trend, rising to sixth place globally with a 3.3% market share, fully demonstrating its advantages in technology accumulation and capacity layout in the power semiconductor field. BYD ranked seventh globally with a 3.1% market share. Among the top ten companies in the global power semiconductor market share in 2024, only Silan and BYD saw an increase in market share compared to 2023, while the market share of the top-ranked Infineon dropped significantly by 2.9 percentage points, the second-ranked ON Semiconductor decreased by 0.5 percentage points, and the third-ranked STMicroelectronics fell by one percentage point.
