
September 24th Midday Review: The Sci-Tech 50 Index surged nearly 5%, semiconductor stocks exploded again
The market opened lower in the morning but rose throughout the day, with the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext Index both up over 1%, and the STAR 50 Index rising nearly 5%. Semiconductor stocks surged again, with ThinkonSemi, KFMI, and TFME among several stocks hitting the daily limit. The real estate sector experienced a volatile rebound, with Yunnan City Investment, Shibei Hi-Tech, and Yuhua Development all hitting the limit. On the downside, the tourism sector continued to adjust, with Yunnan Tourism hitting the daily limit again. More stocks rose than fell, with over 4,000 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets in the green, and a total turnover of 1.42 trillion in the morning session. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.63%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.11%, and the ChiNext Index rose 1.76%
