Kuailun Technology officially launched the world's first "zero-threshold" ultra-lightweight aircraft X4
36Kr learned that at CES 2026, Kuailun Technology officially launched the world's first "zero-threshold" ultra-light flying vehicle X4. It is understood that this product, compliant with the U.S. FAA Part 103 regulations, can legally fly as a manned aircraft without the need for a certificate of airworthiness or a pilot's license. The X4 is equipped with 63-inch carbon fiber folding blades and features a 4-axis 8-rotor layout, providing a payload capacity of 100 kg while keeping noise levels below 65 decibels. Its innovative "dynamic balance algorithm" can adjust the output of 8 motor groups in real-time, ensuring stable hovering even in 6-level crosswinds. Additionally, the X4 supports dual modes of flight route planning and manual control, along with ultra-low altitude flying capability (minimum 3 meters above ground), meeting the full range of needs from urban commuting to outdoor adventures
