National Development and Reform Commission: Ensure the supply and price stability of fertilizers for the spring plowing in 2026 and throughout the year
The National Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on ensuring the supply and price stability of fertilizers for the spring plowing of 2026 and throughout the year. It stated that provincial-level development and reform commissions should actively cooperate with the competent departments of industry and information technology to ensure fertilizer production, coordinate the supply of raw materials for fertilizer production, and supervise relevant enterprises to implement the minimum production plans as required, especially during critical periods for fertilizer production such as winter storage and spring plowing, and report production conditions as required; coordinate with ecological and environmental departments to allow A and B grade environmentally friendly fertilizer production enterprises to independently reduce emissions during emergency emission reduction for heavy pollution weather; promote stable production of phosphate rock and maintain reasonable price levels; support relevant phosphate fertilizer production enterprises to accelerate the construction of phosphogypsum acid production projects. Encourage domestic sulfur to be prioritized for direct supply to domestic phosphate fertilizer production enterprises; phosphate fertilizer production enterprises will actively supply domestic markets with domestically produced phosphate fertilizers, especially strengthening production and supply during the spring plowing period. The Sulfuric Acid Association and the Phosphate Compound Fertilizer Association will jointly organize the coordination of sulfuric acid production and sales for sulfuric acid and phosphate fertilizer production enterprises to stabilize upstream and downstream purchasing and sales relationships
