The European Space Agency collaborates with a Monaco company to conduct research on lunar rover technology
The Monaco Venturi Aerospace Company recently announced that it has signed a contract with the European Space Agency to conduct a lunar rover technology study starting from January 1 of this year, in preparation for Europe's future lunar missions. The announcement indicates that this study will focus on lunar driving or mobility technologies, including suspension systems and super-deformable wheels, with the aim of enabling the lunar rover to efficiently traverse the soft and rugged terrain of the lunar surface while withstanding temperature variations of about 400 degrees Celsius. At the same time, specialized research and verification will also be conducted on subsystems such as power supply and thermal control management to ensure that the lunar rover has the capability to endure the long lunar night.
