Venezuela resumes diluted crude oil exports
On March 6 local time, documents from the Venezuelan National Oil Company indicated that the country has resumed exports of a key grade of crude oil—diluted crude oil (DCO)—this month. This grade of crude oil is a mixture of extra-heavy crude oil and imported heavy naphtha. Venezuela has halted exports of this type of crude oil since the end of 2024, and according to the documents, the resumption of exports will help reduce millions of barrels of accumulated inventory.
