<div id="readability-page-1" class="page"><div id="news-body">(Yicai) March 11 -- Andawell Science and Technology, a leading Chinese supplier of aircraft seats and cabin equipment, has received a CNY497 million (USD72 million) order for galley inserts from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China.Andawell Civil Aviation Technology, a subsidiary, will supply the galley inserts to COMAC’s aircraft assembly and manufacturing arm, Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing, for the C909 and C919 passenger jets, under a framework contract signed between the two units, Beijing-based Andawell announced yesterday.Galley inserts are the electrical appliances and equipment that are fitted in aircraft kitchens. Previously, they were exclusively supplied for these two domestically designed and built planes by overseas vendors.Andawell’s shares [SHE: 300719] closed up 0.4 percent at CNY18.83 (USD2.74) each in Shenzhen today, after gaining by as much as 7.5 percent in morning trading.The company announced early last month that it will supply galley inserts for 55 new aircraft ordered by Suparna Airlines, the product’s first customer. At the time, Andawell had secured orders for the equipment to be installed in more than 100 new aircraft, with installations taking place during the aircraft production phase.Suparna Airlines is a subsidiary of private Chinese carrier giant HNA Aviation Group, which has assigned all of its C919 fleet to Suparna Airlines. To date, no C919 has yet been delivered to the airline.No details of the framework contract with Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing were disclosed, including how many planes involved in the contract will eventually be delivered to Suparna Airlines.Andawell was the first Chinese company to obtain China Technical Standard Order Authorization for aircraft galley inserts.
