The Strait of Hormuz is nearly paralyzed, and French energy giant's oil and gas production has decreased by 15%

French TotalEnergies Group has seen a 15% halt in oil and gas production due to the impact of the Middle East war, primarily from offshore oil and gas production lines in Qatar, Iraq, and the UAE. Despite the reduction in output, the rise in oil prices is sufficient to offset the losses, with Brent crude oil prices increasing from $60 at the beginning of the year to $100, a rise of nearly 2/3. Due to U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran, Brent oil prices have risen by approximately 38%. Maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is nearly paralyzed, with about 1/5 of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas needing to be transported through this strait
