BRIEF: CMGE posts $217 million loss for 2025

Game operator CMGE Technology Group Limited announced on Sunday that it expects to report a net loss of up to 1.5 billion RMB (approximately 217 million USD) in 2025, an improvement compared to the 2.1 billion RMB loss in 2024. The company attributed the reduction in last year's losses mainly to a significant decrease in goodwill impairment related to its Beijing Wenmai Interactive Technology subsidiary. Additionally, impairment expenses for other intangible assets, content provider licenses, and research and development costs have also decreased. Last year, the company's fair value loss on financial assets was also lower than in 2024. CMGE's stock opened flat on Monday at HKD 0.30, down 55% from its 52-week high
