
March 25 Midday Market Review: Shanghai Composite Index Rises 0.88% to Reclaim 3900 Points, Green Power Concept Stocks Continue to Surge
The market opened higher and moved up in the morning session, with the Shanghai Composite Index returning above the 3900-point mark. Green power concept stocks continued to surge, with Huadian Liaoning Energy achieving eight consecutive daily limit-up sessions, while over ten stocks including Jinkong Power, GED, and Hunan Development hit their daily limits. Token concept stocks gained momentum, with Aored and Net263 hitting their daily limits. Optical communication concepts maintained their strength, with Tongding Interconnect, Mentech, and SDG Information among those reaching their daily limits. On the downside, oil and gas stocks retreated, with Keli Shares and Tongyuan Petroleum falling more than 5%. By the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.88%, the Shenzhen Component Index was up 1.37%, and the ChiNext Index was up 1.26%.
