
First-instance Verdict in Case of Tan Ruisong, Former Party Secretary and Chairman of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, for Corruption, Bribery, Insider Trading, and Leaking Insider Information
On March 25, 2026, the Dalian Intermediate People's Court of Liaoning Province publicly pronounced the first-instance verdict in the case of Tan Ruisong, former Party Secretary and Chairman of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, for corruption, bribery, insider trading, and leaking insider information. The defendant, Tan Ruisong, was sentenced to fifteen years' imprisonment and a fine of RMB five million yuan for the crime of corruption; sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal property for the crime of bribery; and sentenced to six years' imprisonment and a fine for the crimes of insider trading and leaking insider information. The court decided to execute the sentence of death with a two-year reprieve, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal property. The illicit gains from Tan Ruisong's corruption shall be returned to the victimized unit, while the illicit gains and their proceeds from bribery shall be pursued and confiscated according to law, submitted to the state treasury, and the illegal gains from insider trading shall continue to be pursued.
