
The joint mining plan between Codelco and Anglo American plc has received antitrust approval
On March 25th local time, Codelco announced that the agreement reached with Anglo American regarding the joint mining plan in the Andina-Los Bronces region has received antitrust approval. The statement said that the plan will increase the annual production of refined copper in the region by approximately 120,000 tons between 2030 and 2051, releasing about 2.7 million tons of additional copper resources during this period, with lower unit costs and without the need for significant additional investment.
