The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on Friday that, after seasonal adjustment, non-farm employment increased by 178,000 in March this year, reversing the decline of 133,000 in February, and far exceeding the market forecast of about 60,000, marking the highest increase since December 2024.

The new job opportunities in the month were mainly concentrated in the healthcare industry (76,000); the construction industry added 26,000 jobs after experiencing a decline related to winter weather; and the transportation and warehousing sector added 21,000 jobs.
