S&P Global released a Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) survey showing that growth in Germany's private sector has fallen to a three-month low. The composite PMI output index decreased from 53.2 in February to a three-month low of 51.9 in March. The slowdown in growth was entirely due to the service sector, while manufacturing output growth reached a 49-month high.

The services business activity index for March was 50.9, down from 53.5 in February, marking the lowest reading since the recovery began last September, indicating that the pace of expansion was only moderate and below the long-term series average
