Hang Seng Bank has launched the Passbook Treasure service, allowing passbook holders to use a physical Passbook Treasure card. After binding their mobile phone at a branch, customers can use the phone's NFC function to tap the card and view two years of passbook transaction records on their phone, and can request transaction records for up to seven years, but it cannot be used for transfers. The branch binding process is expected to take about 10 minutes, and one card can only be bound to one device; tapping the card on other phones will not allow access to account data.

Li Hualun, head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Hang Seng Bank, stated that the bank has 1 million red booklet customers, many of whom have had accounts for 30 years. Seniors are not at the forefront of digital usage; this initiative allows more customers to enjoy the convenience of digital banking services while considering and respecting their usage habits
