Not helping matters, gas prices increased more last month than they have in around 60 years.</p><p>The White House, however, is telling Americans not to worry, claiming prices will only keep soaring for a little while.</p><p>“President Trump has always been clear about short-term disruptions as a result of Operation Epic Fury, disruptions that the Administration has been diligently working to mitigate,” Kush Desai, a special assistant to the White House senior deputy press secretary, said.</p><p>Desai then pointed to a very limited number of goods where costs have decreased from this time last year, including egg prices, which he hailed as an indication that other “household essentials” are also going down in price.
