National Data Administration: Plans to Explore New Trading Models Including Token Trading

The National Data Administration has sought public feedback on the "Implementation Plan for Promoting High-Quality Industry Dataset Construction Actions (Draft for Comments)". It proposes innovating business models for high-quality industry datasets. By improving long-term operational mechanisms for datasets, it encourages them to be listed and traded on data circulation service institutions such as data exchanges. It promotes the development of diverse service forms including the "subscription model", "mall model", and "customization model", driving a tiered upgrade in business models from basic data package sales to application programming interface (API) calls, model-based solutions, and full-stack services. The plan also explores new trading models like token trading to build a dataset value system based on tokens that is quantifiable and priceable.
