Midday Market Review on April 20: Shenzhen Component Index Surges 0.6% to Hit Four-Year High, Commercial Aerospace Concepts Rally Collectively

The Shanghai Composite Index showed volatile strength in the morning session, while the Shenzhen Component Index hit a new four-year high. Commercial aerospace concepts rallied collectively, with more than ten stocks including China Satellite, Tongda Shares, and Western Materials hitting the limit up. Fiber optic concept stocks surged, with Tongding Interconnect, Huiyuan Communications, and Optoelectronic Shares among those hitting the limit up. Liquid cooling concept stocks remained repeatedly active; Shengyang Shares achieved eight consecutive limit-ups, while Kangsheng Shares and Feilong Shares also hit the limit up. On the decline side, the lithium battery industry chain fell, with Sunresin dropping over 10% and CATL falling nearly 4%. More individual stocks rose than fell, with nearly 3,200 stocks across the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets closing higher. Morning trading volume reached 1.73 trillion yuan. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.67%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.6%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.04%.
