People's Bank of China: As of the end of March 2026, the custodial balance held by foreign institutions in China's bond market stood at RMB 3.2 trillion, representing 1.6% of the total custodial balance in China's bond market. From January to March 2026, cumulative issuance of panda bonds reached RMB 842.4 billion, and 10 new foreign institutions entered the interbank bond market.
