European Residential Real Estate Investment Trust Announces Unitholder Approval and Anticipated Closing Date of Arrangement With Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust
European Residential Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: ERE.UN) disclosed today that at a special meeting, Unitholders voted in favor of the Arrangement Resolution regarding the previously mentioned deal with Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAPREIT). In this arrangement, an affiliate of CAPREIT will purchase all outstanding REIT Units not already held by CAPREIT and its affiliates for $1.19 per REIT Unit in cash. The completion of this transaction is anticipated around May 1, 2026, pending common closing requirements such as court approval.
