(Hong Kong, April 30, 2026) - Instant delivery platform Lalamove today showcased the phased results of the &#34;Low Altitude Economy Regulatory Sandbox&#34; logistics delivery in the presence of Mr. Liao Zhenxin, Deputy Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr. Tsai Chih-Ming, Permanent Secretary for Innovation and Technology and Industry, Legislative Council members Mr. Chan Hang-Bin, Mr. Qiu Da-Geng, Mr. Chan Siu-Hung, and Mr. Lam Ming-Fung, Mr. Wong Ping-Hsiu, CEO of Hong Kong Science Park Corporation, and management team, along with industry partners. The demonstration featured a drone taking off from the Hong Kong Science Park, crossing the Tolo Harbour and multiple buildings, ultimately landing accurately on the rooftop of the Medical Supplies Manufacturing Center at the Tai Po Innovation Park managed by the Hong Kong Science Park Corporation, showcasing the stable operation of drone delivery in a complex and changing urban environment. In response to the national &#34;14th Five-Year Plan&#34; emphasizing the promotion of healthy and orderly development of the low altitude economy, Lalamove looks forward to expanding flight routes to outlying islands and the northern metropolitan area in the long term, making the low altitude economy a visible and tangible presence for the public; at the same time, it aims to &#34;go overseas&#34; with its drone logistics solutions to Southeast Asia and other overseas markets, realizing the vision of building Hong Kong into an international innovation and technology center.
Since last year, Lalamove has partnered with drone technology partner Future Wing New Flight Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as &#34;Future Wing New&#34;) to conduct over 200 drone delivery tests under the framework of the first batch of pilot projects in the &#34;Low Altitude Economy Regulatory Sandbox,&#34; including more than 150 cargo flights beyond visual line of sight (&#34;BVLOS&#34;). Test results indicate that even in rainy weather and gusty conditions, drones can land safely, accurately, and quickly; and due to their ability to avoid traffic congestion, for the current flight routes, delivery time can be reduced from approximately 20 minutes of traditional land transport to about 9 minutes, improving efficiency by nearly 60%; at the same time, the cost per delivery can be reduced by up to 40%. In the long run, the development of mature drone delivery application scenarios will significantly reduce logistics costs for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Looking forward to expanding local routes and launching into international markets

The project showcased this time is one of the first batch of &#34;regulatory sandbox&#34; projects. Drones have the characteristics of being able to take orders and deliver at any time, and they can avoid road traffic congestion and waiting for ferries. Low-altitude delivery has obvious advantages for transportation in remote and island areas, with the potential to complement existing ground and maritime transport networks.
