Solana's AI agent activity transitioned from experimentation to measurable economic output in the first quarter of 2026, according to Messari. During this period, PlayBabylon recorded 490,000 trades executed by 1,171 autonomous AI agents over five days. Solana also integrated support for Stripe's Machine Payments Protocol, making it the only major blockchain compatible with both MPP and x402. In March, the Solana Foundation launched an onchain Agent Registry in collaboration with Quantu AI.
