STMicroelectronics N.V. ADR rose 6.6%, reaching a closing high not seen in nearly four months, as the company jointly launched data center AI chips with Amazon

On Thursday (February 20), STMicroelectronics ADR rose by 6.61%, closing at $28.22, marking a new closing high since October 29, 2024. STMicroelectronics' stock in Paris, France, rose by 5.73%, closing at €26.375; in Milan, Italy, the stock rose by 5.69%, closing at €26.37.

The company launched photonic chips for data centers in collaboration with Amazon.

The company released next-generation proprietary technology for high-performance cloud optical interconnects targeting data centers and artificial intelligence (AI) clusters. The performance of 800Gb and 1.6Tb/S cloud optical interconnects is improved through next-generation silicon photonics and next-generation BiCMOS proprietary technology. The company has developed a roadmap for pluggable optics with numerous partners in the value chain to address the GPU interconnects of next-generation AI clusters with higher energy efficiency
