Resolution Minerals Intersects Broad Gold Mineralisation in Diamond Drilling at Golden Gate South

LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

Resolution Minerals reported broad gold mineralisation in the first three diamond drill holes at Golden Gate South, Idaho. Assays extended mineralisation 2,000m south from Golden Gate North, confirming discovery status. A standout intercept was 305.7m at 0.64g/t Au. The company plans up to 45 holes to define the scale of the gold-tungsten system within its Horse Heaven project.

Resolution Minerals has intersected broad gold mineralisation in the first three holes of a diamond drilling campaign at the Golden Gate South target within its Horse Heaven antimony-tungsten-gold-silver project in Idaho.

Near-surface assays from the southern extension of the Golden Gate Shear Zone have extended the mineralisation at least 2,000 metres south from Golden Gate North to Golden Gate South, providing further evidence of the broader system’s scale potential.

Different drill orientations were selected to evaluate the geometry and geological controls of the target, based on gold-tungsten anomalies and geophysical responses identified by past soil geochemical and CSAMT (controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotelluric) surveys.

Resolution is drilling up to 45 holes for a total 13,700m at Golden Gate, targeting and defining the scale and extent of gold-tungsten mineralisation at Golden Gate South and Golden Gate North.

Golden Gate South Geology

Drilled as fan holes from the same platform, the holes intersected variably foliated, sheared, and faulted Cretaceous granodiorite of the Idaho Batholith.

Alteration was widespread and consisted principally of sericite-pyrite alteration of mafic minerals, sericite-clay alteration of feldspars, and zones of weak to strong silicification.

The pyrite occurs as a replacement of primary minerals and vein density and pyrite content generally increased within the more intensely deformed and silicified intervals, supporting Resolution’s interpretation that the Golden Gate Shear Zone provides a pathway for hydrothermal fluids.

Gold mineralisation was found to be present with arsenopyrite-pyrite in quartz veins and gouge shear zones in each drill hole and anomalous silver assays were reported to be associated with base metals.

Significant pervasive gold was identified in all three holes, extending the mineralisation at least 2,000m south of the hill at Golden Gate North and confirming “discovery status” at Golden Gate South.

Standout Intercept

The first three holes delivered a standout intercept of 305.7m at 0.64 grams per tonne gold that included multiple higher grade zones with best assays of 6.5m at 1.33g/t from 62m and 17.25m at 1.19g/t from 264.85m.

Chief executive officer (US operations) Craig Lindsay said the results provided additional support to the view that mineralisation extends continuously through to Golden Gate North, potentially representing a “very significant gold discovery” along the Golden Gate Fault Zone.

Golden Gate South has a history of exploration dating back to the late 1970s, when a subsidiary of Canadian Superior Mining Company conducted a regional reconnaissance program around the Stibnite district to identify economic gold-tungsten-antimony deposits.

Surface mapping and trench sampling in 1980 identified scheelite and gold mineralisation, while a systematic soil survey two years later demonstrated the potential for significant geochemical zoning across the prospect.

A close-spaced soil and rock chip program conducted by Stallion Gold Corp in 2021 provided important additional definition and confirmed structural controls associated with the Golden Gate Shear Zone and Vibika Creek fault.
