Leopold Aschenbrenner is back buying AI-linked names after his hedge fund was hit by a July selloff, with Situational Awareness taking call options on AMD, Bloom Energy, CoreWeave, SK Hynix and SanDisk, CNBC reported, citing sources. According to BeInCrypto, the trades ran from late last week into this week, while assets at the fund reportedly fell from above $45 billion to about $10 billion. The SEC later subpoenaed Wall Street banks over their dealings with the fund, with no allegation of wrongdoing.
