United Overseas Bank (UOB) has launched Singapore's first online branch appointment booking system, allowing customers to schedule personal and business banking services up to 10 days in advance. Accessible via the UOB website, the service covers over 25 offerings, including advisory and wealth management. Following a successful pilot that reduced wait times from 15 to 7 minutes, branches will dedicate counters for pre-booked clients. The initiative aims to minimize transaction times and unnecessary visits.

United Overseas Bank (UOB) has launched an online appointment booking service, enabling customers to book in-branch appointments for personal and business banking services for up to 10 days in advance.

The online appointment booking service is accessible via the “Branches and ATMs” section of the UOB website, with customers able to book appointments for the next day up to 10 days later.

Customers can schedule appointments for more than 25 services, including advisory and wealth services, the bank said in an announcement on 1 October 2026.

Branches will dedicate at least two counters to customers with appointments, UOB said. These counters will serve walk-in customers when there are no scheduled appointments.

The full rollout follows a successful eight-week pilot conducted across six UOB branches in July and August 2026. During the pilot, customers with appointments waited an average of around seven minutes to be served, less than half the 15-minute wait experienced by walk-in customers.

For services requiring specific documents, branch staff will make a call to remind customers to bring them prior to their scheduled visit.

For services that can be performed digitally, the site will offer self-service options through suggested links.

Customers will receive an email confirmation on their appointments.

The online appointment booking service is an industry-first in Singapore, according to UOB.

UOB believes that the pre-appointment service will reduce transaction times and mimise unnecessary repeat visits.
