Elon Musk-led Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) has shared a new teaser for the upcoming Roadster high-performance EV, as well as announced a series of major updates for the Semi truck.

Tesla Roadster Reveal

In a post on X on Thursday, Tesla shared a new teaser for the upcoming Roadster, showcasing what appears to be an LED light bar at the front of the vehicle. “See you next week,” Tesla said in the post.

The teaser also featured the word ‘Roadster’ and the letter ‘X,’ although it is unclear whether the imagery is intended to reference Space Exploration Technologies Corp.‘s (NASDAQ:SPCX) involvement in the vehicle’s development. Musk has previously said the Roadster could feature SpaceX-developed cold-gas thrusters.

In August, reports emerged that the vehicle could have a cold gas thruster system used in SpaceX’s rockets for altitude control during the Falcon 9 rocket’s landings, with 10 thrusters expected to be placed where rear seats usually are, the report said.

Tesla Semi

The Tesla Semi official handle also took to X, sharing new information about the Semi. “Today, we’re launch high volume production,” the post said.

CEO Musk, in a video shared by the handle, said that the Semi will be a “revolutionary” truck and be like a “sports car in truck form.” Musk also said that the Semi will have access to the Tesla Megacharger network, offering Megawatt charging.

The CEO also said that the Semi will feature autonomous driving technology, with Tesla adding self-driving features in the “very near future.” Musk then said that the Truck made sense economically amid record-high diesel prices in the U.S.

In a separate post, the Semi handle shared that Tesla will target producing 50,000 units of the Semi annually at its 1.8 million square-foot facility. Tesla’s official website also says the truck requires lower maintenance than a traditional diesel-powered truck.

Semi Truck Orders, $80 Billion Boost

Notably, Tesla had secured a major 500-unit order for the Semi from Swedish freight-technology company Einride AB (NASDAQ:ENRD), with the company’s CEO Roozbeh Charli confirming that it will receive 75 units of the truck by the end of 2026.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) analyst Andrew Percoco said Tesla’s Semi opportunity could add roughly $80 billion to the company’s market value under the firm’s bull-case scenario.

Elon Musk Touts Cybercab’s Local Nickel Cathode

On Wednesday, Musk hailed Tesla Cybercab’s locally sourced Nickel cathode for its battery built in Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas. Musk has touted Tesla’s domestic manufacturing process, saying that the automaker’s EVs have the highest percentage of American made/sourced content when compared to all its rivals.

Price Action: Tesla shares were up 0.38% to $379.32 during overnight trading on Thursday.
