On Tuesday (March 11), the global airline industry ETF fell by 1.69%, the biotechnology index ETF dropped by 1.36%, the consumer discretionary ETF decreased by 0.98%, the financial sector ETF, energy sector ETF, and banking sector ETF declined by 0.85%-0.75%, the technology sector ETF fell by 0.41%, the semiconductor ETF decreased by 0.14%, the global technology stock index ETF dropped by 0.05%, while the internet stock index ETF rose by 0.5%.
Among airline stocks, American Airlines fell by 8.32%, Delta Air Lines dropped by 7.25%, Alaska Airlines decreased by 3.3%, United Airlines fell by over 2%, Boeing rose by 3.99%, JetBlue increased by 4.17%, and Southwest Airlines (LUV) closed up by 8.3%, marking its best single-day performance since late 2020
