Nvidia at $211 and Jensen Is Still Bullish. The $3 Trillion Question Is Whether the Capex Is Real.

Nvidia closed around 211 on Friday, grinding to new relative highs while the rest of the market braced for a huge data week. Jensen Huang keeps repeating the same thesis: AI infrastructure spending is heading toward 3 to 4 trillion dollars a year by 2030. That number is either the greatest investment megatrend in history or the biggest capex bubble ever inflated, and Nvidia is the purest bet on the answer being the former.
Why the stock keeps working
Every scary week, money concentrates into Nvidia, and this one is no different. The SK Hynix debut confirmed memory demand, Meta is building its own chips but still buying merchant GPUs by the truckload, and the neoclouds keep expanding. Nvidia sits at the center of all of it. The Kyber delay rumor got denied, China reopened for H200 purchases, and the demand signals keep stacking. At a forward multiple near the market average, it is the rare megacap that is both the leader and not egregiously expensive.
The bear case is a real number, not a vibe
Here is what I actually respect. If AI capex is really going to 3 to 4 trillion dollars a year, someone has to earn a return on that spend. The Fed literally flagged AI capex as an inflation and forecast risk. If the AI revenue does not eventually justify the buildout, the capex cycle turns, and Nvidia is the most exposed name on the way down just as it was the biggest winner on the way up. That is not a reason to be short, it is a reason to size correctly.
The week ahead is the test
CPI drops Tuesday, five big banks report Tuesday, Warsh testifies Tuesday and Wednesday, and Iran just declared Hormuz closed. A hot CPI plus an oil shock is exactly the combination that could trigger a risk-off flush in the most crowded trade on earth, which is AI. Nvidia at new highs going into that is not a place I add. It is a place I hold and watch.
How I am positioned
I hold $NVIDIA(NVDA.US) as my core AI position. I am not adding at new highs into a data gauntlet, and I am not selling the best-positioned company in the biggest capex wave in history over a one-week calendar. I keep the core, keep dry powder for a CPI-driven flush, and let the multi-year story compound. Jensen has been right for three years running. I am not betting against him this week, but I am respecting the landmines.
Not financial advice, just weighing the trillion-dollar bet.
