Multiple Asian airlines have raised fuel surcharges for May flights following April increases, driven by rising aviation fuel costs. Adjustments affect both domestic and international routes, with some surcharges nearly doubling or increasing fivefold. Spring Airlines has set new fees for South Korea routes, while All Nippon Airways has raised surcharges for routes from mainland China to Japan by over 60%. Korean Air and other South Korean carriers are also implementing significant hikes. Domestic route surcharges currently stand at CNY60 for segments under 800 kilometers and CNY120 for longer segments, with the next adjustment on May 5.
