China's NEV retail sales increased by 27% in early May compared to April, reaching 226,000 units, despite a 13% year-on-year decline. China's early May NEV sales rebound from April lows despite yearly drop

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has begun production of the Ora 5 in Thailand, marking the brand's first overseas production of a compact SUV. The Ora 5 will be available in electric and hybrid variants, with starting prices of 649,000 baht for the EV and 709,000 baht for the hybrid. The Thai plant has an annual capacity of 80,000 units and will allocate 60% of production for the local market. GWM has received 5,000 pre-orders for the Ora 5, with deliveries expected between May and June.
