Việt Nam has launched the Vietnam Mergers & Acquisitions Association (VMAA), the first specialized organization in the sector, to support corporate restructuring and attract strategic capital. The association aims to link businesses, investors, and advisory firms, enhancing the M&A market's professionalism. This initiative aligns with the government's reforms to strengthen the private sector and improve the investment environment. In 2025, Việt Nam saw 367 M&A deals valued at $8.7 billion, indicating a market recovery. The VMAA plans to build a sustainable M&A ecosystem and target 1,000 members by the end of its first term.

Total registered foreign investment in Vietnam reached $18.24 billion as of April 27, marking a 32% year-on-year increase. This includes 1,249 new projects with a registered capital of $12.15 billion, primarily in manufacturing and processing, which attracted $8.12 billion. Realized foreign investment was estimated at $7.40 billion, the highest in five years. Singapore led foreign investments with $6.05 billion, followed by South Korea and China. Notably, capital contributions and share purchases rose by 61.9% to $2.96 billion.
