Hong Kong's unemployment rate for Feb to Apr 2023 remains at 3.7%, consistent with market expectations. The underemployment rate decreased to 1.5%. Total employment fell by 7,700 to 3,648,000, while the labor force decreased by 5,200 to 3,787,200. The number of unemployed persons rose by 2,600 to 139,200. Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun Yuk-han noted the strong economic growth should support the labor market, despite potential geopolitical risks.

- Data from the statistics department shows that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 3.7% from February to April, consistent with market expectations.  
- The total number of employed decreased from 3,655,700 to 3,648,000 during the same period, while the unemployment count rose from 136,600 to 139,200.
