In the first 17 days of May, China's retail sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) fell 12% year-on-year to 400,000 units, despite a retail penetration rate of 58.9%. The cumulative retail sales this year reached 1.844 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 24%. The wholesale volume of new energy vehicles was 1.126 million units, unchanged year-on-year and a month-on-month increase of 56%.
