CapitaLand Investment tells shareholders it will stick to property-backed lending as concerns emerge

CapitaLand Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust's preferential offering closed with 74.5% valid acceptances, totaling 96.1 million units out of 129.1 million offered. Excess applications reached 219.3 million units, or 169.8% of the total available. The total valid acceptances and excess applications amounted to 315.4 million units, or 244.2%. The offering aimed to raise about S$300 million for acquisitions in Singapore and Japan. New units will be listed on the Singapore Exchange on April 23, with an issue price between S$2.35 and S$2.40 each.
