The oil market is reaching a 'tipping point' that could create problems for stocks, according to this Wall Street legend

Energy stocks rose pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF up 0.8%. The United States Oil Fund increased by 2%, and natural gas futures rose 1.9%. West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 2.7% at $103.89 per barrel. Exxon Mobil was found not liable in a lawsuit, with its stock up 0.5%. BP is considering selling natural gas assets in Egypt, with shares slightly lower.

- Energy stocks showed positive movement before the market opened, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF rising 0.8%.  
- US West Texas Intermediate crude oil increased 2.7% to $103.89 per barrel, while global benchmark North Sea Brent crude reached $107.96 per barrel.
