This increase was attributed to investment gains, currency valuation effects, and renewed foreign inflows, despite earlier volatility. The central bank noted that foreign investors made significant net purchases in Taiwanese equities, contributing to capital inflows. The New Taiwan dollar remained stable, and the central bank is prepared to intervene if necessary.
