The E.W. Scripps Company, together with its subsidiaries, operates as a media enterprise through a portfolio of local television stations, national news, and entertainment networks in the United States. It operates through Local Media and Scripps Networks segments. The Local Media segment engages in the operation of broadcast television stations and related digital activities; production of over-the-air news, information, sports, and entertainment content through broadcast, digital, mobile, social, and over-the-top platforms; and running of network programming, local sporting events, syndicated programming and original programming; and provision of core and political advertising services.
