AUGUST U.S. NONFARM PAYROLLS:
- The US economy added 162K jobs in August 2026, beating expectations by 56K jobs - July’s payrolls were upwardly revised by 23K- Unemployment rate 4.1% vs 4.1% expected- Employment increased in food services and drinking places and in local government education10-year spiked to 4.8% again and markets went slightly red on the print. Labor market continues to be hot and one of the reasons that makes it harder for the Fed to justify cutting rates.Source: amit
