I am cautiously bullish on Tesla heading into earnings. The company delivered 480,126 vehicles during Q2 and deployed a record 13.5 GWh of energy-storage products, giving it stronger operating momentum entering the report.

My thesis is that higher vehicle volumes and the rapidly expanding energy business can support revenue growth and improve factory utilisation. However, deliveries alone are not enough. I will be watching automotive gross margin, free cash flow and whether spending on robotaxi and AI initiatives is producing measurable progress.

Weak margins or excessive cash burn would invalidate the near-term bull case.

What is considered the world’s de facto safe asset as well as ‘go to’ reserve asset? (Sorry USD. You are not really an asset. Just a trading intermediary)

It’s none other than gold. Gold has been given value since ancient times and a gauge of wealth. Gold is what the world will trust and trade when they don’t trust the fiat system. And gold’s value has been increasing with respect to fiat.

That is why most countries have a gold reserve. Gold is physical and will be relevant. After the pullback, gold’s value is looking reasonable again compared against the fiat system.

Nvidia needs no introduction. AI and Nvidia have become like synonyms. And its revenue is still growing. Its price have however stagnated and in fact has become arguably much undervalued compared to the past.

I don’t think Nvidia will go parabolic like before but it has become a more mature value like stock profile like Apple but more entwined with the AI world. Future trends like robotics and space are upcoming and Nvidia will very much be part of that so this behemoth is here to stay.

AMD has been doing pretty well actually amidst the tech sell off. It is consolidating within a tight range and might actually qualify as a high tight flag.

But I am classifying this as a rectangular consolidation pattern with a wave 4 signature.

The inference phase seems to be giving a boost to AMD and its price. And the particular strength in her charts bodes well for AMD in general.

This one has retreated quite a bit (in actual fact quite a lot!). However taking all factors into account, that is a good thing really and very healthy stock dynamics.

A stock that goes too parabolic is too speculative and a healthy one needs periods of digestion after an uptrend, much like this one.

Fundamentally sound, providing a very important component of the AI supply chain and in the midst of expansion to accommodate surging demand.

Upcoming earnings are important and need to reassure a jittery market.

It’s Apple review time! It looks like the market is giving Apple a vote of confidence as she made all time highs recently.

It is impressive to say the least. However the show of strength is also capital that rotated into big caps which are deemed more defensive as they seek high and low where to park their money whilst waiting for the upcoming earnings. I still think Apple is no more a high growth company so once the bulls gather more courage they will leave the nest to seek better returns.

itself which also does not glitter at times.

At the moment, gold looks dull having pulled back quite a bit.

But I think it has bottomed or is very close to it. The next rally will catch many off guard and only when it has rallied more will the same people climb on and start praising gold.

AI to lighten my load

This is what I like to see when I load my app:

I open my app and the screen loads to the portfolio summary and how it compares to the previous day.

A summary of the previous day events which might have impacted the market is shown as well as what are coming up that might affect the market.

A list of recommended actions are also given catered to my portfolio and why they are advised.

That will help lighten the load and ease my investment process.

Nvidia has held up pretty well amidst the middle east hoo has and Straits of Hormuz on off - on off (Is it open or close?) dance. To be fair, the market seems rather desensitised to the ongoings there already and has a fairly muted response compared to the past. Good that the market has gotten smarter.

To be fair, tech has taken a beating even before that with what seems like a rotation into healthcare and financials and the bulls would like to see tech recover strongly along with other sectors so they can call this the ‘broadening rally’ which is bullish.
