The Chinese tech basket is generally undervalued as compared with their US counterparts. For those who can stomach the constant sell down of Chinese tech, there is a chance of enjoying the fruit when they gets the hot money when market is risk-on.

Looks like Singapore is very much an important cog of the AI supply chain and the exports data shows that clearly. As well Singapore is considered friendly to the US so that should support our GDP.

Singapore’s AI beneficiaries have rallied quite a bit to be honest. Much like their US counterparts, a breather is much required and a healthy outcome.

AI tech spending is still going strong, and AI is a real game changer, really impacting real life. now is the lull (sell in May & go away) but it is not dead, just stoop lower to jump higher

China is recovering, it's been so many years since the real estate bubble pop. Time to go long into China companies and believe in the Chinese will. Tech is definitely a focus!

Singapore M&A is picking up, however regulators are very picky about this. There is significant regulator risk hence play it safe, no point looking for arbitrage.

Alot of news coming out of China, however I will remain cautious as they are facing huge deflationary problem till now. You can see from the huge numbers of China F&B in Singapore! They have to export out their services.

Singapore electronics manufacturing and export has always been robust and steady. There is without a doubt in my mind that longing SG semi names are a must, look at how much they sky rocket!

US stocks continue to trade on Oil futures and war headlines and I don't think the volatility will end anytime soon. Trump even hinted at "Cuba operation" next, so uncertainty continues to loom over the next few months. Personally just taking the opportunity to load up on Index funds for long term

I think oil will continue to be volatile as long as the war is still going on. As long as the Strait of Hormuz is closed, the supply is still very much constrained.

Daily market talk

Bring the gold trade to Singapore would further strengthen Singapore's positioning as a financial center. What better use of the scarce land here than to be paid to stack gold?

Amidst all the FUD, when you look at price and technicals, the markets are flashing some bottoming signals indicating some kind of rebound is on the cards. Watch out for Fed statement and Friday’s NFP data! With the DXY sitting at 100.095, Powell’s upcoming statement and the jobs report could be the catalyst for a shift. If the Dollar Index (DXY) hits resistance at 101 and reverses, the bearish pressure on metals might finally break.

G7 discussion? It's useless when Trump floats the idea of found invasion ain't it? Just brave yourself for the worse, we got a king on the loose. First Greendland, then Venezuela, then Iran.

Singapore stocks are still doing well. I would believe blue chips is the best play. Many mid cap stocks have went up too much and is now in the taking profit stage!

China is really facing a dilemma, it wants the clean energy space to stop killing one another, including EV and solar, but it still wants to stop most subsidies. The best option is to stay away from China stocks in the meantime. The economy is pretty much stuck.

Any reserve, or OPEC or G7, doing anything strategic, will never resolve 20% of the world's oil flow being stuck. Don't be fooled that this will resolve quickly. Brace for impact!
