The week is concluding with a strong Aug job report and that's pulling back those rate hike expectations. The relief from yesterday may be short lived.

The market might be getting ahead of themselves and they might be starting to realise this administration will want to keep the business cycle going into elections.

I believe the Fed chair had to be hawkish last week for credibility and to be fair he was doing the correct thing. The market as usual likes to over react and overthink.

Non farm payroll is impt, coupled with fed governor comments

What Walker actually said was not quite dovish as it is a neutral conditional statement that *if* inflation continues to show signs of decline over next 2 weeks, then a hike wouldn't be needed in Sep. He made clear that the Aug CPI on Sep11 would be a data point. A market that rallies on such conditional statements means it was positioned for something worse; a lot of bearish leaning scared into repositioning.

Tonight is damn critical. Kevin Warsh likes data. Hence, NFP will rock the market tonight. Only two ways: way up or way down.

Also, I fully back Canada’s retaliatory tariffs against US. Sovereignty isn’t up for compromise and it can still be win-win! Canadian is so lucky that they have Mark Carney as PM.Firm and decisive.

Fed Governor Waller stated that if August inflation continues to improve, he supports keeping interest rates unchanged in September, lowering the probability of a rate hike from 63% the previous day to 52%.

The main focus remains on tonight's non-farm payroll results.

Prior expectations for rate cuts or a hold were merely derailed by the odds of a rate hike.

Markets are trending upwards again, once again providing time in the market beats timing the market for most people. Not the time to be complacent as well.

Markets are getting even more choppy before deciding a direction to bear or bulls movements will exercise cautious and DCA into good stocks that will return back after major pullbacks or correction.
