Talk about a deluge of earnings to kick off tech earnings. Earnings for Tesla and Alphabet will be eagerly waited for. But before that, I am excited for GEV who will report before market opens.

AI and semiconductor stocks have staged an impressive rebound, but waiting for earnings to confirm that the recovery is backed by fundamentals. Tonight's Tesla and Alphabet results could set the tone for the market's next move. Forward guidance and AI demand will matter more than the headline numbers. If management remains confident about AI-driven growth, accumulating quality companies on healthy pullbacks may offer a better opportunity than chasing the current rally

I'm looking forward to post market Alphabet earnings & most importantly their forward guidance as well. Alphabet has pulled back and consolidated around the 340-360 mark since their last earnings, with even Bershire purchasing at higher prices of 360+. I do think 400 could be a plausible target by year end especially with their more efficient than ever TPUs.

It is difficult to tell if this recovery in chip stocks is a dead cat bounce. My gut feeling says no as the AI infrasture demand is real but the market is moved by smart money and what we can do is size our positions according to our risk appetite and set stop losses.

I'm staying constructive on the semiconductor sector and used the recent pullback to add more exposure rather than reduce it. The rebound in memory stocks reinforces my view that the earlier selloff was driven more by sentiment than deteriorating fundamentals. AI infrastructure spending remains strong, and demand for HBM, DRAM, NAND, and advanced storage should continue benefiting the entire semiconductor supply chain. That's why I'm still comfortable accumulating SOXL and selectively adding names like Micron.

Tonight's earnings from Tesla and Alphabet will be the real test for market sentiment. Beyond the headline numbers, I'll be paying close attention to management's comments on AI monetization, cloud demand, capital expenditure, and forward guidance. If both companies demonstrate that AI investments are translating into stronger revenue and cash flow, I believe it could provide another leg higher for the broader AI ecosystem.

Volatility is inevitable, but I try not to let short-term price swings influence my long-term strategy. As long as the structural AI story remains intact, I prefer to stay invested and continue dollar-cost averaging during periods of weakness instead of trying to perfectly time every market move. Patience and consistency have always been the core of my investing approach.

I am leaning bullish on Alphabet into earnings, but the key test is whether its enormous AI investment is translating into profitable growth.

In Q1, Search revenue grew 19% while Google Cloud surged 63% to $20 billion, suggesting AI is strengthening rather than cannibalising the core business. So I will be watching Cloud growth, Search monetisation and operating margins closely.

The main risk is Alphabet’s planned $180–190 billion of 2026 capital expenditure, which could pressure free cash flow and increase depreciation.

Strong growth combined with disciplined spending would reinforce the bull case.

Google stands out for one simple reason: its P/E ratio finally makes sense to me. While other AI plays trade at sky-high premiums, GOOGL’s forward P/E stays very reasonable 26.59.

Furthermore, I see rising Cloud margins and AI boosting Search ad revenues as a high growth cash cow.

In my view , the market is just starting to catch on to this AI leader trading at a discount. Hence, I see more upside than downside.

🎲 Biggest Loser: TSLA

Tesla looks set to lag because its P/E is 372 and P/B ratio at 17x . The current share price is priced for total perfection and totally over stretched. No room for any mishaps.

With this massive premium to traditional automakers and its EV competitors, I see more downside than upside.

Traders will give an excuse to dump the shares with any dissatisfaction with its financial results. For example, a small sign of falling margins could send its P/E sliding sharply lower.

For further information, BYD has PE ratio of 26 times and P/B ratio at 3.12 times .

Therefore, Tesla needs flawless progress on robotaxis and news of new technology breakthrough for its new EV models just to support its stretched valuation.

🔷 INTC ( Neutral- not interesting😆 at all )

Intel is currently trading at P/B 4.63x, share price $102.79.

It has a deep-value turnaround story but it lacks the near-term catalysts to outperform the other two this earnings season. Hence, I do not see any material movement in its share price.

Cross my fingers and pray for my predictions 😆.

I believe Alphabet's earnings could surprise positively if Google Cloud continues delivering strong growth and AI features begin driving higher monetization across Search, Workspace, and Cloud.

The biggest concern remains heavy AI capital spending, but if management demonstrates improving returns on those investments and provides confidence that spending will translate into durable earnings growth, investor sentiment could improve.

With its dominant ecosystem and strong cash generation, I am confident Alphabet remains well positioned to benefit from the long-term AI opportunity.

Earnings are around the corner and funds that have derisked into it have done so, tech stocks looked to have bottomed and if earnings confirms AI momentum, tech will fly.

While everyone else was focused on South Korea crash & buying the dips on memory stocks, I am paying attention to our local market. With the reduced board lot size introduced in October, many are pushing bank stocks higher before taking profit later on. I'm not 100% sure that a healthy pullback is on the cards anytime soon, but I'm certainly not rushing in as well. I'm buying these bank stocks for my dividend portfolio, not trading, hence the patience and not trying to fomo in to lock in more profits.

Seems like Fraser Centerpoint Trust prefers assets in the north-east sector of the island like this Bayshore one. So far, they haven't have foothold to the south-western sector like clementi-jurong east/west-Bukit Batok-Tengah-CCK-Bukit Panjang. Hopefully they would acquire something when the greater southern waterfront district lands.

In his past track record of “managing” relations with other countries, he has always made things worse and this war is turning out no different. Now we are faced with the threat of blockage of another strait and free marine passage rights in danger of being undermined permanently.
